What is Academic Coaching?
For senior high school students or post-secondary students with ADD/ADHD or Learning Differences, academic coaching can offer practical strategies for managing time effectively, planning and prioritizing assignments, organizing for large projects and developing a plan for test preparation and handing work in on time.
In coaching, you will take a closer look at where you get stuck, what is behind the procrastination and create tangible structure and strategies that are unique to you. As you meet with a coach regularly, these new habits and skills for learning become routine.
Success has little to do with intelligence and everything to do with the ability to accomplish the work requirements of each course, handing assignments in on time and getting credit for what you know.
In coaching, we look closely at your learning style and natural intelligence while building on your strengths and successes. Ultimately, the goal is to develop a renewed level of confidence for handling your course work while achieving life balance.
“ Academic Coaching has been very helpful in many ways – organizing and planning tasks,
feeling less overwhelmed
by my workload and balancing my school work and life at home.
My stress is way down and confidence up. Thank-you.”
